The Bee Museum en français |
||
The Maison de l'Abeille (Bee Museum) is a unique living site dedicated to bees and offers a global approach to beekeeping: its history, economy, research, health properties and its future, in search of biodiversity. The Maison de l’Abeille occupies 600 square metres of the old carboard factory of Mesnay, near Arbois, at the entrance to the Planches Reculées and bordering a Natura 2000 area. The technical and scientific data, as well as the original collections have been provided by Monsieur Raymond Borneck, an expert beekeeper. This site forms part of the group of activities developed around the La Cartonnerie centre for crafts, culture and tourism, also known as «Les Echaillers». The automatised panoramic beehive, unique in France, is considered to be the main attraction for visitors. |
